For some people the term "repo" denotes a negative image. People may wrongly assume that a repo may have been neglected or abused, however most people who originally financed a vehicle are creditworthy individuals that have a relatively long term (2-5 year) plan for their car with all good intentions to pay. It is often a case of well-meaning people who run into an unforeseen financial problem. Most units are repossessed within the first year of the finance contract and are often no different than trade-ins at a typical car lot.
