Fill A Backpack 2011
MCT Credit Union conducted the "Fill A Backpack" school supply project among staff for the Women and Children's shelter. Employees got together and filled 46 backpacks and collected lots of miscellaneous school supplies for children starting back to school.

Fill a Stocking 2011
MCT Credit Union conducted the "Fill a Stocking" project among staff for Christmas. Employees got together and filled 18 stockings for resident children of Boys and Girls Haven.

Operation Camo Christmas 2011
MCT joined forces with the American Legion in Port Arthur to collect items for our troops through Operation Camo Christmas 2011. The main objective of this operation is to ensure that every LOCAL Active Duty member of our military understands how much they are loved and appreciated by Port Arthur and our surrounding communities. The items collected were packaged and shipped to them in time for Christmas.

2011 Donations to Area High School Project Graduations
MCT donated money to six area high school project graduations collectively donating a total of $5,728.29. Project Graduations are for a very good cause to keep our children safe and off the highway on their special night.

Every member that swipes & signs their Orangefield Bobcat Mascot Debit Card, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Orangefield High School Project Graduation!

MCT donates Easter Baskets to local Foster Child Care Center
MCT staff participated in a credit union Easter Basket decorating contest and donated all 85 of them to the Family Life Therapeutic Center for Foster Children.

Lamar University Baseball Game Sponsor
MCT sponsored the LU baseball game on Saturday, April 3rd and also held a drawing for an iPOD giveaway. Congratulations to the lucky winner, Bruce Drury!

Better Business Bureau Shred and Forget It Event
MCT sponsored the Spring 2010 BBB Shred Event on Saturday, April 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Central Mall.
In an effort to reduce identity theft, MCT partners with the Better Business Bureau twice annually to encourage consumers and businesses to bring documents to shred at NO COST – it's FREE!!
Mark your calendars for the next Shred It Event to be held on Saturday, September 11th at Parkdale Mall from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Be identity theft free – come out to "Shred It & Forget It" on September 11th !!
Documents to be considered are old checks, tax returns, credit card statements and anything else that contains personal information.
The limit is 5 boxes (10x12x15) per person and 10 max per vehicle. It is important to shred your confidential documents. When improperly disposed of, it can lead to identity theft. The mobile shredding trucks are provided courtesy of Shred-It and ArmorShred.

Operation CAMO Christmas 2009
In a collective effort with the Port Arthur Legions, MCT employees collected non-perishable items to support our troops. These items were delivered to the soldiers just in time for Christmas.

MCT Sponsors 2010 Southeast Texas Business Expo
MCT manned a booth at the 2010 Southeast Texas Business Expo on January 21st held at the Beaumont Civic Center. This event is one of the largest in Southeast Texas for providing networking opportunities among businesses and potential customers.

Cub Scouts Camp
MCT sponsored 700 backpacks for the Three Rivers 2009 Cub Scout Day Camp. Three Rivers Council promotes, administers and supervises the Boy Scout of America's youth education program for character development, citizenship training and personal fitness.

Junior Achievement
This program is devoted to educating and inspiring young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. MCT participates in Junior Achievement throughout the Golden Triangle.

Walk Against Domestic Violence
Employees of MCT along with Family Services of Southeast Texas and professional & civic groups participated in the 3rd annual Walk Against Domestic Violence on Crockett Street on June 13th to express our commitment to leading a non-violent lifestyle.

Golden Triangle Home Show
MCT had a booth at this annual event on March 6th, 7th and 8th, 2009. We provided information to the community on new home loans, home equity loans, home improvement loans and much, much more. Better Business Bureau Shred Event
MCT sponsors this event twice annually - one is held in the Spring at Central Mall in Port Arthur and then again in the Fall at Parkdale Mall in Beaumont. In an effort to reduce identity theft, everyone is strongly encouraged to bring documents to shred at no cost.

Mercado Days
The Southeast Texas Hispanic Cultural & Educational Center holds the Mercado Days Festival annually. Profits from the festival benefit the Hispanic Cultural & Educational Center scholarship funds and they are devoted to working with area school districts and universities to encourage Hispanic youth and their families to continue their education.
